WAKE UP! appears in The Magic Time Pirates in Chapter 23 Gone!
There was suddenly a lot of noise out towards the horizon, far across the Indigo Sea. Trumpets, gongs, saxophones, loud drumming and loads of wild singing could be heard. It was getting louder and louder as a fleet of old-fashioned sailing ships approached Marescimar, some sailing on the ocean and some sailing in mid-air! The ships were flying loads of multi-coloured flags and some big pirate flags. Many of the time-færies on board had been allowed to upsize so that they could play drums, guitars and gongs. The song they were playing is called ‘Wake Up!’ by a band known as Arcade Fire. Echoing across the water, it sounded amazing. Everyone could see Captain Stella standing in the rigging of the central ship with her eyeglass trained on the Observatory deck. On her shoulder was Jeremiah — her multi-coloured parrot — and standing next to her, playing guitar, was Decker! (His important business had been to help Stella get ready for the fleet of ships to visit Marescimar!)
Skye was beaming as everyone stood up to watch from the Observatory Deck. She was amazed to see her future self arriving with such a grand display of ships, music and magical creatures.
It didn’t take long until all the ships had reached the bay and thousands of time-færies flew onto Marescimar Beach. Everyone ran down to greet them — some using the stairs and some using Angel’s amazing water slide. Stella flew straight up to the Observatory to hug Skye, and they embraced for the longest time.
After they finished, Stella made a flourish with her hands and two little girls appeared. It was Sixx and Jem!
