Professor Mitchell Blizzard

In the opening to Time Wizard, Blizzard describes himself as: Time Wizard, Esteemed Member of the Gang of Time, Lecturer in the Physics of Enchantment, PhD in Astrophysics, Sports Teacher, Surfer of the Sea and the Noesis, Master of the Gong

Blizzard is described in The Time Virus as an unusual character with black, curly hair (that tends to get very messy); kind, dark eyes; wearing a multi-coloured coat; carrying a long multi-coloured surfboard; and often wearing round sunglasses with the top part of each lens being like a mirror, and the lower part – black.

Skye and Minnow know there’s something magical about him when they first meet because he can see Jem and Sixx when no one else can.

As a Time Wizard, it’s Blizzard’s job to take care of the Time Game on the Islands of Time, and especially to help protect the game from a group that has been trying for a long time to infect the game with a Time Virus to create a plague across all time. If the virus takes hold it can push people’s lives off course, and it can ruin families for generation after generation, sometimes even for centuries.

Blizzard can fly without any wings, but he usually only does this when he is on the Islands of Time. He is also highly skilled at surfing both in the water and in the Noesis (a thick cloud like substance in the sky over the Islands of Time).

In the second book of the series (Time Wizard) we discover that Blizzard was bullied and seriously harmed by teachers at his school.
