Florence and the Machine
Florence and the Machine played the Dog Days are Over at Glastonbury.
The song is mentioned in Chapter 34 of the Magic Time Pirates:
Everyone ran up to the Observatory to see what delicacies were on offer. As they began to eat and drink, Stella’s ships took off across the sea and the sky, playing a different song this time. There were lots of drums and many of the travellers were singing. The song was one by a wild red-headed woman call Florence and her incredible machine! It's called ‘The Dog Days are Over’

Godot sometimes says that he feels insulted that the song seems to infer that horses are better than dogs and that ‘dog days’ aren’t very good … but Molly took him aside one day and said that every creature had to be happy to have a good side to their nature and a bad one.
‘Sadly,’ she said, ‘some dogs were used in war to savagely maul other creatures.’
She hung her head.
Godot looked at her, his eyes looking miserable.
‘So, some of us have a bad reputation,’ said Godot, ‘I get it.’
Molly quickly added, ‘And always remember that humans are considered to be one of the most dangerous species in the Universe even though they like to say they’re one of the most civilised.
Godot cheered up at that.
‘True,’ he said. ‘I’d have to agree. But thinking about species with a great reputation all around — I’d have to say that I’ve never met a mean flamingo.’
