Godette and the Time-Faeries

Godette

Godette is a time-faerie. This is from Chapter 6.6 of The Time Virus:

I put my hand to my brow and nodded. The latest squadron of færies bowed low, mid-air, and one of them buzzed right in front of my face. She was smaller than half a bee.

‘I’m Godette,’ she said in a tiny voice. ‘We’ve all been sending the best magic to you so that you’ll be safe, and if you ever want to write about your adventures, I’d be happy to help.’

Godette waved her tiny wand and showered Blizzard and I with silver and pink sparkling dust. It erupted from her wand as a tiny raindrop, but then it expanded and burst all over us.

‘That’s for luck,’ she said, politely bowing and zooming off to join her squadron.

Godotte

Godotte is Godotte’s brother.

We meet him in Time Wizard.

Funn

In Time Wizard Blizzard says that Funn is one of Godette and Godotte’s cousins — “a time-færy and a wild one at that. He’s also my very good friend.”

Funn, Gode & Go-liv

Ben wrote in Chapter 9.9 of Time Wizard:

And then, all of a sudden, with a massive thud we all landed on the beach at Marescimar. The sand was soft, and the leaves of the huge Cottonwood Tree were flickering in the breeze. They sounded like so many tiny hands clapping. And when I looked up, I saw thousands upon thousands of time-færies, some sitting in the tree and others flying around it, and they were all clapping and waving to us.

Without any warning Gode, Funn, Go-Liv, Godette and Godotte were buzzing in front of our eyes. Without warning, they expanded in size and crowded around us, hovering in mid-air.

‘You’re our heroes,’ said Godotte.

‘We love you,’ said Godette and Go-Liv.

‘Immensely,’ added Gode.

‘Massive-immensely,’ said Funn.

I blinked, catching up from the crazy ride I’d just been on.

‘Thank you,’ I replied, shaking my head slowly. ‘We’re back.’

I could barely believe it.
