Migal Monsterhagen

Migal is Blizzard’s good friend and his distant relative.

Here is an excerpt from The Time Virus:

At that moment, what looked like a flying chariot appeared on the horizon. 

‘Ah good,’ said Blizzard. ‘I thought Migal might turn up.’

‘Who’s Migal?’ I asked.

‘One of my distant relatives,’ said Blizzard. ‘But he’s also related to the Living Creatures.’

‘What are they?’

‘Only the best and most wonderful of creatures who’ve ever lived.’

Minnow nodded. 

‘Excellent,’ she said.

I smiled at her, knowing that her heart would be beating as fast as mine.

Before long, Migal was hovering next to us in his motorised wheelchair. (It was definitely not a chariot.) Migal’s wheelchair made a noise like an old-fashioned lawnmower. It had two huge wings and a small front wheel.

‘Blizmo!’ roared Migal. ‘What up?’

‘We are!’ said Blizzard, yelling over the sound of Migal’s wheelchair. 

Migal roared with laughter.

‘I’m Migal!’ he yelled to all of us.

He was a wild wreck of a thing, red hair streaming down his back, and his beard running down his front. I wondered if he was related to Viking warriors.

We all nodded at him, not sure if we should call out our names.
